Having read through all the old posts on the diablo 900xp about pitching, i thought i would post on here that last week my son and i managed to pitch the inner, peg it out, and the fly sheet on and pegged in 3/4 of a hour.took about 2 hours to do everything else inside thou.
not being big headed but just saying it can be done, and it was windy.

first time we did ours took about 1.5 hours, got it down to under an hour after that, knowing where to put all the poles helps.we love all the space in ours, havent been able to use it this year yet,as car has been off road since february, trading standards are slow to get things done.
Takes us about 1 hour from trailer opening to tent fully guyed out etc. Another hour to get the kitchen tent and sun canopy up for a longer stay. Forty Eight hours to get the rest of the cr*p set up....and I am guilty of taking most of said cr*p. We should call it the 'Campers Law' - "The more space you have the more cr*p you take".

Hi all, Just had a look at the 900 xp on the web. I used to have the 900. Just looking at the picture, it looks like the tunnel isn't as long now. Is that correct. This was a big plus for us as we used to have a table and chairs in ours. Excellent tents though and in a way I still miss it. It was just a nightmare when the weather was awful to put the tent away. A bit too long in the tooth now for camping and have gone onto being a 'tugger'. Must admit, the atmosphere just isn't the same on a campsite now. Most vanners just seem to keep themselves to themselves unlike the happy campers. Wish I was younger again

I have had both the 900 and the 900xp and I am not sure that the 'tunnel' (porch?) is any shorter. The bedrooms are certainly bigger in the xp version, and the extra pole adds much more strength in windy conditions.

Just purchased a 900 from a friend so haven't had time to erect it yet. Looking forward to using it very soon. The pitching instructions says that before putting the fly sheet in place that the porch poles should be assembled and then pull the rest of the sheet over the inner. Is that the best way?
Any advice would be of a great help to me and my wife.
Cheers.
