HI has any one else spotted a make of tent called Skandika being sold via E - Bay these are a genuine German manufacturer who have a model in its line up callend the FLORENZ 6 problem is, I think its an almost exact copy of Outwells Montana 6 in all dimensions and every way I can see. With one exception the Florenz is 3000HH.

Now price Monty will set you back £329.00ish

Copy Florenz £289.00 if brought, but if patient and able to watch auction prices these regularly go for around £200.00 + £19.00 P+P sometimes less!!!

See my predicament.... ? I stayed in a Outwell Monty 6 the other weekend and cannot fault it, easy up and plenty of room a 5***** tent,

Any advice / Thoughts?

Hi, i havent tried this tent but i bought a new canvas tent from the camping equipment company on ebay, they too are a genuine camp shop in the netherlands so i thought i would be alright,boy was i wrong, we had a weeks hols booked first week in june and we ended up staying only 2 nights as the tent was not waterproof at all-the rain poured in and soaked al our stuff. I complained to ebay when we got back and the company agreed to give us either a refund or a new tent, we decided to send it back then found out it was going to cost us £150.00 to send back they would not reimberse us, so noe they are sending us another tent called thor which is similar to the monty too, but we wont keep it we will sell it on,with an explanation why.

We have since bought a khyam michigan 12 from world of camping-last years model for £195.00 and its a bargain, i hope this helps but i would stay well clear as our holiday and alot of our stuff was ruined and the children were very upset.

Have you looked at the sunncamp global, including a front canopy, only

 £250 at outdoor megastore?

Thanks seems like a sensible option. Still undecided at present and still looking.
