last time out i discovered a tiny pin hole probably no more than 1mm diameter in the flysheet of my aspen and i was wondering how i would go about patching it up?

I have a repair kit with fabric and some seam sealer.  Am i right in thinking that you use the sealer as the glue to stick the patch in place?

Any recommendations on the size of patch compared to the size of hole?

probably daft questions but better safe than sorry

I am no expert - but for what its worth

I had 2 holes recently of maybe 2-4mm size

I cut a piece of fabric, maybe 2cm square and stuck it on the inside of the tent using airbed mednign glue (my theory being if it can sort out a patch on an airbed then its ok for this)

Then when it had dried, I went over the whole patch with seam sealer, as an extra precaution

the easiest way to do it is with Tenacios tape. its about £4.00, on ebay or in camping shops  .

its very easy to use, just cut a piece bigger than the hole , round the edges off and peel the backing off , stick to both sides . Its clear , so the repair hardly shows at all. Fully waterproof and made specially for tents.
