Finally had the time to put my new Colorado 5 up this afternoon and how impressed i am with it.Although it had taken 45 mins to put up first time and with the 3 year old son helping or should i say interfering ( kept running off with poles and pegs). The sleeping pod is one big pod with zip to section into two bedrooms which is handy so we can make one big bedroom and use as two when the little one is older. The space inside is enough, you can fit table and 4 chairs and still have some room or move the front panel back about 1 metre to give a canaopy, handy when its hot weather. The only thing i can see which could make an improvement the bottom skirt does not fully go around the tent, but when inside the pod i could not feel any drafts (windy today). The groundsheet not sewn in, but already knew that, not a problem for us.

I do have a Trailer Tent but wanted something for weekend breaks, simple and quick to put up, i hope this will meet our needs

Jake

On the outwell site it says "detatchable" ground sheet, does that mean its attatchable by zip or toggles or is it just the loos flat type?

Its a loose ground sheet which you can peg out, i wanted this type because if it ever gets hot inside (unlikely in the UK this year!) we can ditch the ground sheet , this helps to keep the tent cool.Must say have been very pleased with the size and quality, and its simple to erect .

We love ours. It has gone all over europe with the two of us. Like you I am no fan of SIGs, We got the pitching down to about 15 mins. And it had been through high winds and torrential rain without even moving.

An excellent design.

Enjoy.

Alan

Hi Alan,

yes we are pleased with the Tent, we wanted something that we can put up quick for weekend use only and has plenty of room. We have yet to test in wet weather.

We use the T/T for longer holidays only because of time to take to pitch about 1hr 25mins but when you leave on a friday night and arrive at site 8 o'clock you just want something quick to put up so i can have a beer and relax!

Jake
