Hi Mike,

We're also looking for a small overnighter tent. I've not seen a flash mach but if it's a pop-up (you've perhaps already read this too) I've heard that (in particular the Gelert twister) they can be a really major handful to squease back and pack. We're having the same trouble as you in not being able to view what we're interested in.

We've got the Quechua 3 sec air and it's a great tent,0ne of the bigger pop up tents it's around a metre when you get it in it's bag lol, A few F's and Jeff's or kung fu lessons works wonders. It's worth it for the speed it goes up, you get 9 pegs and one of them is a spare, great over nighter or weekender.

Must say if ours had a extension fitted it would be brill, the first couple of times we used it we did'nt have anything sorted, but after that i sorted a tarp out, NO rain or drips inside,

I've got the three man eurohike popup from Millets.

Bought the 2 man first for my 5 year old daughter and I. Too small. Sorry but I need some headroom. Thankfully the zip stuck and the very nice store assistant agreed to exchange it for the larger model.

I made a deal with the store assistant that if she could show me how to pack it up, in the 'promised' ten seconds, I'd buy it. She did, and I'm not disappointed.

Good build quality, and the first two occasions we've used it, it's pelted down with rain and we've had high winds (not us... the weather... you get me?). One other person's tent was blown away, it was too windy to keep a flame alight to cook, but the tent stood up to the punishment beautifully, and no leaks (not the vegetables... well not them either, but no damp inside the tent!).

i am a huge fan of quechua pop ups but i was impressed with the design of the millets tent and it is presumably easier to buy if you don't live near a decathlon shop.

however, have you see this thread ?

Doesn't the inside get soaked when you open the front door if it is (or has been) raining?

That thought has been putting me off one of these.

just use a brolly.

It really isn't a big issue and if you are young and nimble you can open it from the bottom and nip in and out. (which was my son's answer when i was worried about it).

As i get older and more creaky it get's a bit more difficult and having exposed my bum to some poor unsuspecting young men last time i tried to crawl out of ours, i am really pleased you can get a special pop up room to crawl out into, if needs be
