Ive asked this in my other thread but its got a bit cluttered up now and I have yet to get the answer I seek.
We're returning the Diablo tomorrow and this Montana 6 is the tent we're thinking of replacing it with. We need to know if this is suitable for C&CC pitches though as its 30cm over the 5m limit, would they really enforce the size for the sake of 30cm?
How has anyone who owns this tent got on at the C&CC sites?
many thanks for any replies

We have just returned from a weekend trip with our montana 6 and extensoin from a c&cc site we had to tell them the dimensions so they could put us in a suitable pitch but no problems encounted.
The size was a cause for concern, but after looking at an erected one at CCC we realised that the porch sides can can be rolled up and held against the poles, and the groundsheet for it zips off. This makes the tent only about 4.2 meters wide! ;)
The OH & I have a montana 6 and never had any trouble with CCC sites. We even have the Oklahoma utility tent and the front extention to go with the monty, and CCC sites have never had any problems with the size.It is a fantastic tent never had any problems with it...enjoy.
------------- If only I could camp all year round!
We have the monty 6 plus the extension and have used many c&cc sites without a problem. we just make sure we state the size of the tent when we book. It's never been commented on.
We have a Monty 6 and have used the C&CC at Scarbororough and have booked to go to C&CC site at Culzean Castle in August and haven't had any problems with the tent size even with the extension. As MikeR760 says you don't have to peg the porch out although does make a handy place to put the overnight bucket .
The Montana is an excellent tent really quick and easy to pitch and loads of space. I would also recommend you get the Footprint to protect the SIG from getting muddy, we also have the carpet....absolute luxury and have recently got the extension which I would highly recommend.

WE have stayed at Troutbeck , Barnard castle , Sandringham and Leek c+c club sites , with our Montana 6 and front extension and have Charmouth c+c club site booked for later in the year , and have not had any problems when booking , but always state the dimensions when booking .
Hi Slinger, we've had a Monty 6 for two years now and have never had a problem with any of the C&CC sites we've visited. It's the best tent we've used and it's been very stable in some really windy weather.
