And I have the Omega 350, very good tents but just a little too small for my wife to enjoy, even though she's only 5ft 3"  She's got too comfy with all the mod cons like the dual gas stove and large table and chairs etc.  Personally I prefer to get away with the least possible. I use mine more for when I go away on weekend sea fishing trips with the lads.

Been camping four times with an Equinox 350 which we bought for sites we weren't confident our Khyam Rigidome could cope wth (wind wise). Great tent but the internal tension bands do eat into the useable internal space a bit (you get an idea of this from some of the photos on the web). Also you must pitch it end to the wind, you really don't want a storm force wind hitting a tunnel tent from the side. Full size chairs wouldn't fit but we were fine with the sort that sit about six inches off the ground, and to go with these you can get tables with very short legs. However for cooking (well, boiling kettles for tea !) I always did this outside the tent. It lets in a lot of early morning light, but then apart from the new Milletts pop up tent with blackout liner I think all tents do.

I have the Vango 350 gamma, which is a slightly older version, and would recommend them. It stood up well to strong winds in Yorkshire, when other tents were giving up. I do prefer the option of two doors on the Gamma though.

hi all

,i have a very early model of the equinox 350.it must be at least ten years old  my partner an i are taking it on a tour northern scotland in september.

you cannot go wrong with this tent! its brilliant loads of room in the porch to lay out kit and cook.tension bands needed only when bit windy.i've used it with only four pegs holdng it up.mind you it was my mates stag weekend!! so lucky to get tent up at all.

basically you cant go wrong with this tent.the later version has the end poles abit shorter to help rain shedding better.mine tends to pool abit on the roof.

go for it!

ade.
