We seem to have been looking for the ideal tent for months now!  Basically what we're after is a vis-a-vis style with 4 separate bedroom areas (or that can be divided into 4 with a partition), with a large living area in between.  Add to that a large porch (or one that can be extended by adding a separate porch), a rear door and that's almost it.  Needs also to be fly first, SIG and hh of at least 3000mm.  Does anyone know if such a tent exists for under £450?  I'd be very grateful if anyone could find something for us, as we seem to be going round in circles!  Many thanks in advance if anyone can help!

Hi Detta, the gelert meridian has 4 sleeping areas, a door either side in the living area and you can get universal canopies to fit over most tunnel tents to make a porch. is this the type you mean?

Or do you mean you want another door at the back of the tent , where the bedrooms are?

The idaho xl is almost there except there is no divider in the four man bedrooms - you could make one though, gorgeous tent.

Depends on how large is a "large" living area to you. Also by add on porch do you mean one you can close at night or would a sun canopy do? If the latter then what about the

Vango Yukon 800 (£220) with Tunnel Canopy (£55) from www.outdoorgear4u.co.uk  (vis-a vis - but that only has the 1 door when all bedrooms are in use)

or the

Gelert Horizon 8 (£185) and canopy (£35) from www.campmania.co.uk .2 doors -vis a vis - 3 inners the larger 1 with dividing curtain to make 4 seperate sleeping areas if wanted. Would have considered this combination myself had I not already brought my Yukon before I spotted it

Thanks - didn't realise there'd be so many replies so quickly!  Off to have a virtual look at some of the suggestions.
