We bought an Outwell Nebraska XL from SK Camping in October 2006 and when it leaked the first time we used it in 2007 they told us to use a sealer so they sent us some. We used it and it still hasn't rectified the matter. After our holiday June 2008 we contacted them again and they have asked us to send the tent back to them, even though we live in Wolverhampton so we will have to drive down to them and they will sort it out with Outwell but couldn't say how long it will take to resolve even though I have informed them we go away again end of August. I have since been in touch with someone at oase-outdoors.com and they seem very interested as to where we had the tent from. The only reason we bought the tent from SK Camping was that it was the only one left we could purchase. Maybe this matter will get resolved sooner than later. Will put a post on with any further details of this matter.

Thanks for all the advice. SK Camping have now been back in touch with me who tell me at the goodness of their heart Outwell will replace the tent for us. We are taking it back to them on Saturday (all the way from Wolverhampton) and they are going to re-order another one and send it to us asap. Hopefully we should end up with a tent that doesn't leak and lives up to its standards!

You might want to check out other threads on Outwell Nebraska XLs leaking. We have had 2 - both leaked after only a little use. It has certainly been a common complaint and more worringly something Outwell have been aware of for at least 2 years and not done anything about.

Outwell has been well aware of the problems and that's why they are replacing it for you. At least you got it sorted. We had that tent at first and it leaked bad, was replaced by Vermont L (leaked) replaced by another Vermont L (yep, leaked too) and now this year have the Bear Lake and it does't leak, love it!
We had to have three Nebraska XXL`s replaced. The first had a few faults, some minor, but it also had a zip that looked vdery dodgy, the second leaked like a sieve and the third had an 8inch hole in it where the SIG wasn`t sewn to the tent itself. After the third XXL we gave up on that particular tent and got a 2008 Vermont XL in exchange instead. Outwell are aware they had problems, which is why they were exchanging tents without quibble, the only problem has been with retailers who have dragged their feet on tent returns. We bought ours from Yeomans Outdoors at Ambleside and have never had any problem with them, our tents were replaced on the spot with no quibble at all.
