Hi,
We have the five hundred model which is basically the same. All pole widths should be correct, as the pin system is used.
With regard to the red poles, why would you have to lift them? they are fitted while the tent is flat on the ground. We only struggle because there are only two of us, 5' 2" and 5' 5" and this is only because we can't hold the side legs up, while we fit the front and rear red legs. But if you have at least one extra pair of hands this should not be problem for you. We now pitch ours like a tunnel tent, by pegging the back temporarily, then pulling the whole structure fowards and upwards, and then fitting the front red legs. Then one of us goes to the back end and fits the back red legs. Now remove the temp. rear pegs, and peg out the inner tent fully.
I can remember the lifting ground sheet being mentioned before, but not a reasonable answer.
I reserve the option of being incorrect at all times.
------------- Canvas tent, paraffin light, petrol stove. Heaven
I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
