I've found an a very basic advert for a Gelert Vesuvius that sleeps 5 but I cannot find any information ANYWHERE on the internet about dimensions of the bedrooms etc...

Does anyone have any information or owns one or anything?

I've had my eye on a coleman darwin 5 for such a long time but this other tent looks just as good but slightly cheaper!

I found this, but you've probably aready seen it. Basic dimension details given, looks like the rear bedrooms are about 330cms wide in total (but that may be the figure incuding the space between the inner and the fly).

Did you ever get the Gelert vesuvius? I am having the same problems finding information. I've been offered one at a very reasonable price but maybe there's a reason for that?

Hi all,

I have a Gelert Vesuvius which we bought in 2005 (I think).

The bedrooms are pretty spacious - we sleep across the tent, but you could just about get five people side-by-side if you needed to.

I'd say it was OK for 2 adults and two children, or 4 adults who were reasonably friendly (!).

We bought it for the massive porch area which is tall enough to stand in (I'm 5'11") and has plenty of room to cook etc.

It's an excellent tent - one of the rear poles split during gales in Wasdale, but this was wind that flattened several other tents, so for a tent with that much surface area it did very well indeed.

For the price we paid it's an excellent tent for the money, and I would deffo buy it again.
