Hi there, first time on the site so very impressed how helpful it is. We are thinking about buying a second hand vango aspen 700 dlx which has been used for approx 1 week. Only thing I am slightly worried about is that as we are both first time campers I have read that it can be quite tricky to pitch. I have tried to located the pitching video on the vango website but can't find it or even the tent.
Can anyone send me the link to it or tell me how to find it? Is it really that hard to put up? Thanks for all your help, Dawn

Thanks wow that was quick! We bought the six man thent from Aldi last week for £80 and it looks great so debating between the two. I think the Aldi tent could be great for a weekend tent and this one for longer stays not sure my hubby will agree that we need 2 tents but I will have a think!
Yes that would be great if anyone has the pitching video or could email it to me I would be so grateful, thanks again Dawn

hi, it is truly an awesome tent not bad to pitch at all just a bit time consuming the first couple of times but once you got the hang of it, it is quite easy here is a link for the pitching instructions just scroll down to 2007 and select aspen 500 700. hope this helps.
thanks rich had a look and found it straight away. Hope you don't mind answering a few questions for us...... is the ground sheet sewn in? We are a family of 4 and haven't been able to locate one to have a proper look at, do you think it will be good for us? Like the idea of plenty of room and if our girls want ever to bring a friend along then I am guessing there would be loads of room for another child or two!
My hubby is 6 ft 2 and by the looks of it there is pelnty of room headheight. Do the bedroom inners have any zips down so you can have a different variation in room size, I don't think they do but then I am not sure that we would nee to do that anyway?
Sounds like a really great tent and I think we will end up going for it, thanks for any further info, Dawn
hi dawn, yes the ground sheet is sewn in. we are also a family of 4 and it suits us perfectly. i don`t know where you are located but somerset camping did have the 500 pitched earlier in the year they are very good on their prices as well, it might be worth you giving them a ring. yes there will be loads of extra room for friends to go along with you but because of the shape of this tent you get loads of room, without it being to big to keep warm on chilly evenings. as for head height it is 2.35m i`m 5`8" and cant reach the top, so your hubby would be fine. the bedrooms can be changed, the centre bedroom and r/h bedroom can be made into one huge bedroom. the r/h bedroom also comes with a cross rail to convert into a walk in wardrobe. there is also a zip in the l/h bedroom to gain access straight to the middle bedroom. here is a link which will take you to the reviews on this tent, there is one there from myself as well, hope this helps you. if you need anymore info let me know and i`ll try my best to help you.
Hi, on the strength of all the great comments about this tent [700 dlx]on this website , we have ordered it,from jr leisure group, rather last minute, [ going to france saturday!!!] , and i too am a little apprehensive about the pitching, i just hope the pitching instructions i downloaded from vango do the trick, and the tent is as good as it sounds.
when you get the tent have a look in the pocket, on the side of the tent bag. there should be a dvd supplied, with the pitching instructions on it. i can honestly say, i really don`t think you will be disappointed with this tent. it truly is as good as it sounds. if you get chance i would advise that you have a trial pitch before you go. good luck and enjoy your holiday.
------------- fresh air, lager and no work. who could want more?
