Hi everyone.
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem to myself.
we have a brand new Vango Orchy tent, very nice, but each time we have used it I have noticed that after it has rained the rain beads off most of the tent beautifully but there are two panels which soak up the rain - although not actually leaking through (as yet! we've only used it twice). It is as if some of the canvas is different quality. I have queried it with the shop where I bought it and they say it is normal.
So, what does anyone think? Am i just a fussy old thing or what?

It's hard to say without seeing it and you say it's not leaking yet. Has it seen alot of rain? I would see how it goes and maybe take some pics of it when wet so you can show your retailer and take it from there.
Not being picky at all, it's your hard earned money.
Tried to put a picture on my profile but failed. We had it in North Wales this weekend for 2 nights and had a few good showers. Two weeks ago I had it in the Lake District for 2 nights and it was heavy rain, and a lot of it! These are the only times I have used it. I'm just rather disappointed I guess.
We bought the Orchy 500. Had a few weekends away in rain and it has not leaked. It sound's like poor quality to me. If you think its substanded then sent it back. Ask for a replacement...
