Hi there,
We currently have two tents - a Blacks Constellation Series dome tent and a Eurohike Sandringham. The Blacks tent is excellent and very easy to erect, just not big enough for longer holidays. We found the Eurohike Sandringham very difficult to erect and rather drafty due to the lack of a sewn in groundsheet in the living area.
Having read positive reviews of the Suncamp Evolution 400, and that it is easy to erect, I am seriously considering purchasing it in time for a two week holiday we have planned in Somerset.
I have a few questions regarding this tent - does the sewn in groundsheet extend the whole length of the groundsheet (including underneath the bedroom inner tent)? Will the Evolution's geodesic design be easier to erect than the tunnel design of the Eurohike Sandringham.
Other tents we are considering include the Eurohike Stowe, Vango Venturer 500 and the Vango Orchy 400.
Having a living area we can stand up in is important to us.
Cheers
MaX

Hi MaX,
I can tell you that the SIG of the evo400 does extend the whole length of the tent, including the sleeping area, which also has its own groundsheet too. I can't comment of whether it is easier to erect that your current one, as I dont have experience of yours, but I can tell you I find it very easy (and I am vertically chellenged!!!) to erect.
I assume there will be just the two of you? If there are more, I dont think the tent will be big enough for a longer stay, if just two it should be ok. I tend to camp on my own (with 2 large dogs) and have plenty of room, but a couple of weeks ago I took a friend with me for the weekend, and we weren't cramped at all.
If you buy one, and dont have a utility tent or canopy of some sort, consider buying one, as I wouldn't recommend cooking in the tent - just thinking of our lovely summers. LOL.
I like my evo400, it is snug and light (having a few windows). Theonly thing I think they should change is to add a canopy, then it would be more than perfect for me
Hope this helps.
