Hi Chris.  Now you tell us just after we have bought a tarp to use with our evo 400!!

Is it the universal Outwell side canopy you use or one specific to the Hartford?

it just says side canopy on the bag. we have also used it on the side of our montana and over the back door of our hartford xl'

no it didnt rain while we were away and i must admit that we only threw it up quickly at the end of our trip to look at it, with a bit more effort i could have had a neater fit.

   Hi just read your review on your evolution 400.  We are very pleased with ours, the only complaint in wet weather its hard to get in the tent without letting the rain in.  We also bought a colman canopy as it was the only one that looked as if it could be adjusted to fit. The price was good if it didn't work, although larger than we needed it did the job. I am please to see sunncamp have brought out a purpose made canopy, seems quite pricey considering what we paid for the tent.  If the price comes down we will invest.  Happy Camping.

hi hlk01,
i've had a little look and i know there are slight design and hight deferences between the 400 and 600 DL but could you still open either of your doors on the other side? i'm wondering how far the "flap" goes over the tent...

Hi .. the 'flap' finishes on the roof. I changed (if I remember correctly)  the rear guys fro 4m ones, mainly to accomaodate adding it to the front of my SV8, so they are doubled to about roof height and the hooks just clip into the rings at the bottom of the main door on the opposite side. Yes you can use both doors on the other side but only the main one on the canopy side.  I centre the canopy on that door so the flap rest on the 2 side to side poles that the 600 has.  I think you can see that on my gallery. HTH

I could email you a pic of the other side.. I don't want to put it in my gallery as it is a photo taken primarily of a person LOL.
