i need some advice about buying a tent for myself and 2 children - husband wont want to come . we want one thats easy to put up etc as were new to camping. also i need a tent for my daughter for herself and a friend .i saw the outwell kansas in blacks which looked ok. 1i would spend up to 200 on the bigger tent if need be. thanks for advice

In same position as you. Have just bought Vango Yukon 400 (£149) plus the Vango large canopy (£39 + £6 p+p) to create a decent outdoor area at the front for cooking/chilling out. Also got the footprint groundsheet (£20). Tunnel tents like these are easier to put up as you do the work at ground level and so minimise the risk of it turning into a giant kite if there is strong wind. If you were more pessimistic about the weather you could lose the canopy and get the Yukon 600 instead.
