Hi.

I'm wondering if anyone can help.  We've just bought the Breckenridge 600 and also the footprint for it.

When you watch the pitching DVD, when they fit the pods they pin them to the ground through a special hole in the SIG.  Having opened up the footprint, it doesn't have corresponding holes.

What would/could you do?  We were thinking that the first time we pitch we'll have to make hols in the footprint in the relevant place and then reinforce with duct tape afterwards (then remembering when we pitch her again to get the footprint round the same way!)  Does this sound reasonable?  Or what have other people done?

Thanks

Trouble is , if you pitch on already wet muddy grass,  the wet is going to come through the hole you puncture in the footprint and could cause a puddle between the sig and footprint.? this would defeat the purpose of the footprint being there to keep the sig dry ,wouldn't it?

The sig on my kestrel has reinforced patches to peg the centre front of the bedroom pods down.they are  thick rubbery patches wth a small hole in the centre for the peg.

I use a cheap tarp underneath it, and didn't bother pegging the bedroom down, because I thought it would pierce the tarp and let wet through,  the bedrooms stayed in place without being pegged in the centre front , they are attached at the back and side corners  of the tent with hooks.

It sounds like a design fault with the footprint to me. I wouldn't be happy to have paid out  for something that I have to poke holes in , which could ruin the purpose it was bought for. have you asked the retailer about it?

We have  the Brekenridge 600 and the pods dont peg through floor as in the DVD there are clips attatched to the ground sheet to clip the pods onto no holes needed!!!

Good luck!  For the size we find it very straight forward to put up but it is pretty heavy.
