Well our new tent (Vango Yukon 800) arrived this morning at 9.30. I got a call from Mrs Nutty, while at work, requesting that I take the afternoon off to pitch the tent as she and the kids were to excited to wait...

I duly did and got home, changed and pitched the tent in our garden. What a beauty... We took our time and had no probs at all... Took about 45 mins in total, so that will improve will practice...

The kids are now sleeping in it...

Can't wait until 16th August, as we are off to Mill Farm...

My Vango Yukon 800 arrived on Thursday as well at 2pm! Unfortunately it is still in the bag as I will not have time to pitch until Saturday which is really frustrating!!!

Do you have any pitching tips? Or is there anything that you would do differently the next time to put it up?

By the way, it's a bit odd that we bought the same tent on the same day and are also both going away on the 16th.... Are you stalking me, or am I stalking you?

Watch the DVD that came with it... It is very straight forward and I don't think I would do anything differently...

I hope the weather holds out for Saturday...

Just got the tent out to have a Friday night pitch and discovered that the bag containing poles, pegs etc. was not delivered! Coupled with that, there were muddy footprints on the groundsheet and the outer box looked like it had already been opened...

Rang to complain and the tent is being collected on Monday with a replacement being sent by next Thursday at the latest. Still really dissapointed that I can't have a play this weekend, and what's the betting that the weather next weekend is rubbish!
