This is just a quick post as I shall write the list of all the problems in the tent review section, but our new vango colorado 800 dlx was not of the quality we expected. In short we only managed 24 hours in the tent. It nearly ruined our holiday. we paid in full for two weeks on the site but did not feel safe in the tent so had to abandon camp. I am going to phone the retailer to try to get my money back as in my opinion this tent is not 'fit for purpose'.
our friends have an outwell hartford and in my opinion the quality was far better for a similar price, but we chose the vango as we have used them before, even the same model but 2003 version which is a great tent.

Hi Annie,
We have got a Vango Amazon 600. We are now on our 3rd tent and have only used it once. The 1st 2 tents had problems with the fly net. The were attached to the side doors so we could not open them. Bit of a pain. Checked the 1st one before we went on our trip and took it back. Did not check the 2nd one before we set off and it was the same. Took it back to retailer when we returned and got another new one which we checked in shop and was fine. They said it was very very unusal for this to happen to Vango tents and was unluck also a couple of guy ropes broke and the weather was not that bad when we used it. I am writing to Vango direct to view my points

Just to update, we have e mailed vango with regards to our complaint re quality. just to re iterate it seems to be this years model that is the problem, the older version we use for scouts is a super tent. I would not advise anyone to buy a vango tent made recently.
On a general note, who should be giving us the refund, the suppliers claim its up to vango, but we are not having much luck!

Correct - the seller is sherking their responsibility, and it is a legal responsibility.

the seller does not lose out as he takes the matter up with the manufacturer, but you should have a full refund.
