Hello

Can anyone advise me please?  I want to take my 4yr old son camping as I think he will love it.  I want to buy a suitable tent, however I don't know what to buy!!

I have a hubby who is 6ft 4" who currently refuses to come with us as he thinks he won't fit in the tent and will be very uncomfortable sleeping.  Is there a tent out there suitable for a tall person and could he stand up in it? Can sleeping under canvas be comfortable as I think he is also worried about his slightly dodgy back being agrevated by sleeping on the ground.

Can anyone advise me please on a tent to suit a family of 4 with one particiular tall person. Plus sleeping equipement to aid a comfortable nights sleep?? We are on a budget though!

Thanks
Kim

There are a lot of tents out there with 2m (6.6") headroom in the living area. The headroom is slightly less in the sleeping pods, but usually at back.My OH is 6.2" and we have never had a problem. As for sleeping get good quality air beds, either coleman or if you are feeling flush,Aero beds.We never have back ache when we are camping and we are mid 50's.

Sue

You're a star. Thanks very much for the info and I am glad to hear you don't get back ache. I will go and look into the aero beds.

Cheers

Kim

hi, my partner is 6'6" and is comfy if he can lie at an angle in any of our tents - just go for a 3 or 4 man bedroom for 2 of you and you can adjust your length and the angle you're lying at which is useful too on sloping sites!
