Have just come back from a brill weekend (apart from me and hubby argueing when pitching etc) fantastic weather etc etc but had a bit of a problem with the new tent. We used the front door a couple of times (with the little canopy over the door) but found that there was too much strain on the zip and the 'no see um mesh' zip and the 'no see um' now has a couple of little holes in where it has come away from the seam. We used the other door to avoid wrecking the no see um altogether. We think the problem could be the pole putting excessive strain on two points on the zip. Does anyone else have this problem please?
Thanks
Shell

There has been a previous thread on this subject just recently, Seems like some people have shortened the pole, others have tied over door pole to uprights. But i do not know if any have been succesfull.
Sorry but i can not remember title of thread, but it may be worth looking for.
Hi Shell, i posted a thread on exactly the same problem about a month ago. We bought a Nevada L and when putting it up for first time we couldnt get the door pole to fit at all. I phoned the company i bought the tent from and he said he thinks Outwell had been packing the wrong set of poles as he'd had a number of customers with the same problem! He suggested cutting the poles down to fit which i did, but we took the tent away last weekend and after a day the poles actually snapped!
I plan on contacting Outwell, for replacement poles and to highlight the extent of this problem. I'll let you know how i get on, unless you beat me to it.

Sorry forgot to add - I'm just wandering if the 2008 model is the same or if they knew about the design fault a while back which it obviously is and that they have rectified it in the 2008 model, does anyone know please?
Also does anyone know if the sun canopy that you can buy extra to add on for the 2007 model if it can go on either door or if it just goes on the front door (the one that already has the canopy that we are having problems with)
Hi all, just bought a 2008 model Nevada L from Yeomans and on pitching in garden to check it out found that the door eye brow thingy pole is still placing excessive strain on the flysheet and mesh doors. I have no doubt ir will cause a problem with prolonged use.
However, of more concern is the universal tent inner which when converted to one large bedroom, leaves a zipped section on the floor which at the rear, rises to some 3 inches from the floor. To place a double mattress over the raised section will definitely put strain on the inner tent and fixings.
In light of the above, Yeomans have thankfully agreed to exchange or refund the tent and I have opted for a Hartford L. Here's hoping!
