We have a Kansas 5 as a spare (usually loaned to tentless friends when they come with us) and have been very impressed with it. The front porch/living area is pretty useless in terms of size, but the 3+2 inner can be opened up to create one big room with stand up height. It is very quick to pitch, has performed well in strong winds and heavy rain, and is well put together.
That said, as it is only a spare so I have no idea how well it compares to similar sizes/priced alternatives!
I purchased one of these last year as I was taking my two children away on my own when the OH had to go to a conference and I wanted a tent that I could put up on my own with a little help from my 12 year old. Well I went away and found it to be a great tent, although I only used it for a long weekend. Although it is advertised as a 5 man, I would suggest it be a maximum of four really, or even three for comfort. I don't think you can fit two double airbed's you can only really fit a double and a single with a little bit over. As lentrott said, the living area is useless especially if you were going for longer than a weekend.
Can any of you advise if the useless living area came with a ground sheet, I have been looking at one as a spare in a end of season sale for £70.00 not sure if that's a good price or ig it should have a porch ground sheet. Thanks
