Hello! Thinking if buying Outwell Colarado 5, but they don;t seem as popular as other outwells eg Montana, are they not as well made?Is there a differance between the quality of different tents from the same manufacturer? Sorry if this is in the wrong topic. Any comment from Colarado owners out there very welcome.

This tent was recommended to us quite a few times when we were looking. I am sure some owners will be along soon to reassure you. Looks like a great tent to me. Like the fact that you can move the front panel back if you want a canopy or move it forward for more living space.
Hi we bought a Colorado 5 a couple of weeks ago and we are very pleased with it. It is'nt the prettiest of tents but the practicality is great. Loads of headroom and living space which is great if you want to eat inside during wetter nights or attacked by hordes of midges. Quality excellent-withstood rain and gales one night. We havent put the front door back yet as we have not had too many scorching days in Scotland while we were camping. Can fit a picnic table inside plus bags and cooking equipment. I think for most people its the choice of shape that puts them off a tunnel tent and you have to make sure that you tighten the guy ropes properly as I think they are slightly more at risk from strong winds. We also considered a Vango Orchy 500 but thought the quality was slightly better and the sleeping areas were zipped off in the outwell , Vango just had a clip type arrangement. I think Yeomans have it on offer at the moment even cheaper than when we purchased.
Considered one of this after seeing a frineds Colarado 7, but once we saw the Montana 6, their was only one choice. The Colorado is a quality tent, but for the little bit more outlay I would go for the Mont.

We wouldn't swap ours for anything on the market at the moment. Excellent quality and value. We use ours 4 seasons and it has stood up to some serious wind and rain over the last 3 years. Still looks as good today as when we bought it.
Have one and wouldn't have anything else. My OH is 6ft 4ins and he fits standing up!!
We love our tent and I agree it isn't the prettiest but so practical. Huge living area and we fitted 3 adults 3 kids with chairs and table and cupboard and could still walk around. Loads of windows too, to uncover if inside in rain and want to look out. Large mosquito screens so doors can be left open if hot.
Been in a force 9 gale and monsoon and brilliant not a problem at all.
Buy one and you'll never regret it.
