Having just returned from our first family camping trip, the weather was quite bad on a couple of days so the kids were playing in the tent. Just been looking on the net at day room tents but I have a querie regarding camping fees, are you charged for putting up a day room tent? Does anyone have any experience using one on campsites? Thanks

It depends very much on the campsites that you visit. We use one sometimes and have never been charged but we tend not to go to commercial sites.

It may also depend on the size of your main tent and how much space you are already occupying. What do you camp in?

I really like our Sunncamp daytent. Your other option is to add a kitchen tent which is smaller than a dayroom this will get the hot and sharp things out of the way and also gives you somewhere to shove chairs, BBQ's, bikes etc. overnight.

We use a Coleman Columbus 6, but we dont have a car there permanatley, as my husband just drops me, sister and kids off, so we dont use up too much space. I will have a look at the kitchen tents, thanks for that

It depends on the size of your main tent.I know the C&C Club rules state that your unit/units cannot exceed 9mx5m excluding guy ropes.
