Hi this is my first post on this excellent website. After reading many reviews and looking at new tents, we have replaced our old Suncamp tent with an Outwell Idaho XL.   I am about to setup in the garden before our trip on Friday and the poles are not colour-coded as per the instructions, it also appears that the pegs are missing.  Has anyone experienced the same problems?  Is it easier enough to work out what goes where without the poles being colour coded?  I am in shock that after paying so much money for a premium tent we have problems already.

When opening the tent I discovered the small bag with all the pegs so panic over.  Also when looking at the poles I can see they are all the same and obvious what goes where.   The tent went up ok, most difficult part is folding it up small enough to fit back in the bag.

I have had 4 attempts now to get it back in the bag without success.  When you look on the Outwell website and see the video of the Idaho L it looks easy, however i suspect the XL is slightly different as its bigger.  Any tips here would be appreciated.

Spoke to Hubby he said you need to take a lot of time getting the air out (open the doors) and then fold as per website.  |Cos we had problems with two one of the directors from Outwell rung here and he spoke to my Hubby who also said how on earth do you get it back in the bag.  Apparently he told my hubby the best way is to fold it up and then when attempting to put it back in the bag get one end in then put the bag up on its end and then push it in.  We will be trying this on Monday whne we come back from nottingham unless the weather stays as it in in which case it'll be going back in a bin bag for drying ASAP at home,

Thanks for sharing this info, I have come home from work and tried again by ensuring all doors are open.  The video shows that you fold the porch area in so you have a rectangle and then the front and back of the tent you fold inwards and meet in the middle and then you roll up. Before rolling the tent up i got my kids to roll up and down the tent to get any trapped air out.  Once the tent was rolled up(it was never going to fit in bag as too wide so I then had to kind of fold it again to cram into the bag.  So I'm happy now its finally in the bag.  

However I wonder if you are meant to fold it again before rolling it up? 

When you are folding, keep the bag close by so that you can see the width it's supposed to be to fit into the bag. If it goes over the width, keep tucking in while you're rolling.  My husband and I look a sight lying all over the tent to get the air out, but it does work.  Have put ours down 3 times now and each time we've got it into the bag without any problems - I did have a couple of bin bags on standby just incase I had to use them as a bag but thankfully didn't need them! 

I think we fold each side in twice so that it meets and then fold one side on top of the other. Does that make sense???
