hi folks. reading some of the reviews on ukcs, some people seem to have no problem with this tent. having only put ours up about four times i still feel it is a bit fiddly. the outwell video shows the spread out flysheet, insert all roof poles, peg out corner straps, then attach the back-upright poles, there is then a gap in the video then the whole tent is assembled. just wondered if you move on to the next poles while the back ones are standing upright, also the guy rope didn't seem to be used at this stage. [would think the back pole would topple over] we've been assembling the poles laying them on top of each other then lifting with a partner a side each, peg out the back and pulling it forward to open out the tent then guy out the front. i've seen this method used on a simmilar tent. also think it would suit pitching on a windy day, as i think the video method could be problematic. it might be that i just need some more practice , but if some of you have sussed out quick assembly of this tent i would appreciate your advice.

Hi there. if it is any help we don't follow the video. We attach all the poles and let them fall on to of one another and then we peg down the two front guy ropes, just to keep it secure and then peg the back out. Much like you do but in reverse. Take us about 15 minutes to get it up and pegged, but that is after 3 years practice. Find what works for you and stick to it.

We have never tried to erect it all in one, as it says you can, as the weight would be way to much to cope with.

Why can't we live in the tent..?

This is how we use to do it.

1)spread out the fly sheet
2) Insert the fibre glass roof poles.
3) connect the side poles to the roof poles(still on the floor) and then connect into ring and pins.
4)Gather up the 4 setsof poles till they are on top of each other then stand them up together.
5) while one holds the poles the other pegs out the two top rear guys, then just pull it all out and put the two top front guys on then peg out as req.
It sounds a bit complicated, but we use to do that way in 20 minutes

we do it this way, but we leave the inner tents attatched, and don't find it heavy at all, saves hanging the bedrooms, especially if hot day!!! we slide a seperate groundsheet under the inners to keep them clean.
