There has been a long post on here about this already. Wouldnt know how to find it but the outcome was we all would like insurance to cover storm damage but no one covers for this. They cover for theft, as in you go out and the tent gone when you get back. Most will cover theft but only if your in the tent. Most cover damage such as fire and if say someone drives over your tent etc.
The only problem is all the things they cover hardly ever happen. The thing that damages tents normally is storm damage and they do not cover this on tents and storm damage is not covered under the warranty.
Yes insurance for goods in transit or stolen from home is no problem.
