We recently bought the evolution 600 tent and really struggle getting the tent up, we follow the instructions properly.

We also have the tent footprint for this, although the tent doesnt seem to match it. We must have put it up 3 times now and each time has not been an easy task for me and the gf. When its windy the poles seem to flex in.

Does anyone else out there have this tent and maybe some advice for us.

Peg out the footprint, not the best fit.

Lay the tent out on top and peg the four corners.

Slide all the poles in, someone goes inside and lifts. Place the pins in the shorter pole, the one that goes left to right across the tent then guy if windy. Then place the pins in the poles that go front to back and guy.

Then peg out the rest of the tent making sure the doors are shut.

Make sure the guys are as far out as possible giving a small amount of adjustment.

Thanks Gary, we tried pegging it at the back only last time and i was thinking that we need to get inside to lift it up.

My main concern now is the poles, we were camping this weekend and had 30mph winds and the poles at the front of the tent were collapsing in, anyone else have this problem??

We learnt to go inside after snapping one of our poles but now have no problems pitching. Make sure the pin straps are at the longest setting to start with. You can always shorten them later. One tip though, make sure you leave the doors open a bit when you are decamping. I'm sure the instructions say to close them. It was like fighting with a barrage balloon trying to roll it up the first time!

Not had any problems with tent poles collapsing once it is up though and we have been battered by some strong winds in ours.
