We have just purchased our first tent ever after reading some of your very helpful reviews etc and have plunged for a Skandia Caravan Tunnel Tent. As complete newbies we attempted to put it up on Sat inbetween rain showers however - no instructions!!!!
We realise you have to push the 4 long poles through the canvas and then bend them to get the shape but with one each of us stood either side it didnt leave any free hands to do anything else and if one let go the whole thing colapses!! Clearly there is a nack to this tent lark - can anyone provide basic instructions as to what we need to do and in what order for a struggling newbe please???

I have never heard of that particular tent, but most tunnel tents have straps running underneath with a pin at each end to locate in the pole end and hold it in the correct position (known as the ring and pin system).
never heard of that tent but at a quess you would do it one hoop at a time starting at the back of the tent peg out the corrners and lightly guy out the first hoop and then work forward from this point forming the hoops and guying out as you go
Where did you purchase this tent? If you purchased it new there should be some instructions with it and if the instructions are missing you should contact the retailer. Also I am not sure that this is actually a tent, from its name it sounds like it may be an awning for a caravan or motorhome. There don't seem to be any links to this this tent on google.

Yes it is the Skandika Caravan Tunnel that I am talking about and I purchased it on Ebay. It does have 'instructions' as per the web advert however they are in German!! I have input them into a translator site but it isnt that specific and the diagrams dont really help. The tent is reviewed on this site and he too didnt get the instructions but perhaps was more practiced at the whole tent thing than us and has sussed it out.
