We are looking to buy our first family tent and are considering the sunvalley 8. I have read a few things on here about come campsites not accepting some of the bigger tents and was wondering if anyone knew if this tent would be considered too big for some campsites?
Thanks

The Sunvalley 8 and 6 are both the same width,its just the SV8 is longer.
SV8 = 400cm x 780cm
SV6 = 400cm x 655cm
The maximum unit size on a C&C Club site is 9m x 5m,so you will be fine.If you bought the side extension this would make your tent wider than the permitted 5m.

We have a SV6 and are very pleased with it.Depends on how many are going to use it.There are only 2 of us in the SV6 and we have tons of room.Plenty of headroom and easy to put up.

We are usually going to be 4 - me and my husband and our 2 children -( ages 4 and 1 atm) but sometimes we will be taking my 11 yr old stepdaughter. Hoping the Sunvalley 8 will give us enough room without being too hard to put up and too bulky to carry.

Certainly recommend it as a first time tent. Easy to erect, loads of room and once you get the hang of it, easy to pack away into the rolling bag it comes with. To be honest, we had issues with leaks and moved to the Vermont XL (which also leaked first time round !) But there appears to be changes in the 2008 models that have improved seams. Our 2008 XL has just stood up to three weeks in France and managed a number of huge storms with only one tiny drip. Easily sorted and nothing to be concerned about. Go for it.
Just get one from a reputable dealer, just in case
We once used a very bright light inside the SV8 one dark night at a site in North Cornwall, came back from the loo to what looked like a spaceship !!!
