Just bought the Minny extension and hope to try it out next weekend. Does anyone think that a groundsheet of some sort for this would be a good idea or is that just adding more unnecessary kit?

Just more work and, anyway, what would you hope to gain? We camped with the extension last week in poor weather conditions but the area covered y the extension did not get muddy.
Used extension twice this year so far...well worth all the aggro of finding one!!! Not used ground sheet. Pitched on wet ground first time and didn't find lack of ground sheet a problem as ground had dried out by next day. Just kicked off shoes etc in extension so kept tent clean.
I've a Minnie 6 with extension, so close enough. I don't bother with a groundsheet though, I use some of those connect together floor mats and peg them down outside the door. Very useful for wiping feet on, and stops the grass getting ripped up with continuous traffic
I always use a ground sheet, I like being dry under foot.
When I pack up, normally it's raining I put all the contents of the tent on it so I can then take time to pack the car.
Where did you manage to find one? There's a couple of people on here looking high and low for one....
