We bought our vermont nearly a year ago but have only just got to use it. I was a bit nervous after reading about the problems with the 2007 vermonts and rightly so. After some awfull weather in Cornwall it stood up fantastically to the wind but unfortunately it had 9 separate leaks. Now I know that the normal procedure is to return to the shop it was purchased from, but we have the complication that the shop is not any longer trading. Does anyone have any idea where we stand with this? Any advice would be much appreciated.

hi dudkat, straight back to outwell with this one. your tent is not fit for purpose and you are entitled to a full refund. hopefully you still have your receipt, but if not still go for the refund as they cannot dispute it is their product and you will have rights under consumer rights law. good luck!!
I bought one from a friend of my daughters which was a replacement for a leaking one and was brandnew and unused ,we realised it was far to big and sold it for what we paid. The guy that bought it travelled up from newcastle as it was only £250. First time he used it, it leaked all over the place, eventually he managed to get a brandnew replacement with the information we supplied,if not we would have given him a full refund as we would not knowingly sell faulty goods. The 2nd replacement is ok..thank goodness.I cannot understand why Outwell tents are so expensive and of such poor quality.
I have used Vango for many years and quite honestly have never had an issue, there was a problem last year with leaking tents and Vango actually posted on this site while Outwell stayed mum....I have 5 Vango and several other tents and use them all at various times of the year..

Who did your buyer go to for the replacement, was it Outwell/Oast Outdoors in Denmark?
