Hi

Looking to buy a Bell Tent and been looking at all the websites both here and in Europe. and I am really interested in having the inner tent for a bit of privacy. Has anyone got one?

Can anyone tell me how they are fitted? I assume they attach to the pole in some way?

Has anyone dealt with Canvascamp in Belgium as they seem to be the only ones to do the Tent, Inner and Tarp.

Thanks

Elaine

Hi there

I hope someone answers this for you as I have also been seduced by bell tents. The only thing stopping me buying one at the moment is the absense of an inner tent. I camp alone and hate being cold, so I'm worried theres too much air to heat up on my own withiout the inner.

Hi,

Canvascamp do not sell to the UK. Their tents are sold through belltent.co.uk in the UK. I contacted Canvascamp to ask for prices on UK delivery and they replied informing me of the above and also passed my details onto belltent.co.uk.

Obelink do sell to the UK and the tents work out cheaper. They do sell the tarp although were out of stock last time I looked and don't sell the inner. There is a brand new inner for a 5m bell tent on Ebay at the moment ... !

Thanks for your replies.

Hi AngieGL

I don't know when you contacted Canvascamp but they have confirmed to me that they will ship to the UK and infact shipping is free this week for the Sibley 500. They are out of stock of the Tarp and Inner but expect them back in stock in November. They will accept pre orders at 2008 prices. I'm no expert on such matters but I think EEC regs means we can now buy and sell freely amongst EEC countries. I have read on other forums that some companies try to claim that you can only buy from them but I understand that is not correct. Anyway as I say I am not expert in these matters.

I have ordered my tent from Canvascamp and pre ordered the tarp and inner as well. The Inner will ship for free and only 20euros for the tarp so quite good prices as well. I wanted to buy all items from the same supplier as some other suppliers claim the inners will not fit their tents??

Hi thebiz - I'm too really excited about the Bell Tents. Believe it or not I am looking forward to having a pole iside my tent again they are so useful and of course canvas is so much easier to keep cool or warm as required. Take the plunge!!!

Best Regards

Elaine

Can't wait to get under canvas again!!!

Hi Rex

Have to agree with you they are lovely looking tents! but out of my price range I'm afraid.

Anyhow I got some good news this morning. CanvasCamp rang to say that they have the Tarps in now and can ship one with my tent! They are also not charging me any shipping s costs which is a bonus. So far I can't fault this company. Let's hope the product is as good!

Can't wait to get back to some more basic camping in a canvas tent. Will take me back to my Girl Guide days!! I'll be whitling sticks and rustling up gadgets in no time finishing off with a sing song round the ole campfire. Happy Days!!!
