This year we camped in our vango vista 600 and in the high winds we had, the tension band thingy ripped out of the roof seam! A friend has said that vango tents have a lifetime guarantee and they will repair it.... is this true? Its a few years old and we don't have proof of puchase.
Thought I should find out before I get in touch with vango and possibly make an idiot of myself, throw the tent out or try a repir myself!
thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
Thanks, you're probably right, lifetime guarantee for normal weather! I didn't know there were companies that repaired tents, where would I find out about those?
I just need this tent to hang on for maybe another year, don't think the teenagers will want to come along much after that! Then me and OH can treat ourselves to something shiny and new!!
Feel silly now! Coz I didn't know there were tent repair people I've never looked for them, however, my yellow pages don't list any, on-line the nearest to me in north Wales is Manchester, which is a bit of a trek. I think I will have to have a go myself then hope the weather's better next year!
I can't speak for such damage, but we had a problem with our Killington 900 and the customer service from Vango was simply brilliant. Give them a try and see how you get on.
