Has anybody bought the Vermont Tent Side Extension ?
I have just purchased one and cannot get it to fit properly. I have tried all combinations but cannot get rid of the 'dip' in the roof, either side of the extension where it meets the main tent.
Anybody else have this problem ?

Are you saying that the roof of the tent is dipping where the side extension rests on the roof?
The roof of the extension should sit just past the roof poles front and back so it doesn;t cause the tent roof to sag. The picture below shows it resting just over the frontward pole:
The roof of the extension dips between the fist pole of the extension and the main tent - the trianular section in your photo, trapping any water run off. I was wondering if maybe it was a bad batch.

Don't bother using in any kind of windy conditions, utter utter useless. Sorry but this is just a very lazy design and well overpriced. One of the reasons we sold are vermont was this garbage .

If water is collecting there it may be because you are tightening it up too much at the back where the hooks clip the rear guy lines onto the main tent. (is that clear?) I have an outwell side canopy and the temptation is to pull it tight up to the tent with the two back guys and hooks but this always makes the roof of the canopy sag much like you are describing. I would suggest you just clip the back hooks loosely onto the tent then apply all the tension from the front of the extension with the 3 guy ropes, and then afterwards just tighten, but not too much the back guy lines. I know this isn't too clear but it should sort out the sagging on top.

Okay, I know exactly what you mean now. I have had that problem too. I've never managed to put mine up to my complete satisfaction and I've always had a bit of a sag where rain collects -- I found it quite difficult in the slightest of breeze, even with two people.
