After our last trip away, with heavy rain during the nights,  we woke up to find several leaks. Mainly from the main seams in the living area but whilst packing also found puddles at the back of the sleeping area.

When I contacted the supplier he said the tent needed 'weathering' and the seams should seal themselves.

Over the three days/nights each time the tent had chance to dry out completely but then when it rained again the leaks seemed to get worse instead of better.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

As a past owner of a Biscaya 440 I can say it should NOT leak.  We had ours pitched in all sorts of storms and not a single leak.

If your dealer is useless, try contacting Cabanon direct.

The term 'weathering'refers to the tightening of the fibres when it rains, this also means that the needle holes made by stitching the seams should also knit together and not leak.
As yours seems to be still leaking go back to your retailer or if no joy then do as Charlichoo says and contact Cabanon direct.

Owner of a biscaya 440 we let us have this year many rain. The tent suffered no leak in spite of 2 continuous days of an intense rain. The material used by cabanon is not a canevas which  Tighten has the water contrary has a cotton painting).
