have been in the 350 its smaller "brother" it was built like a "tank" and looked like it would last forever. if I remember correctly it also had a HH of 5000. You used to see a lot of them used by what you might call serious walkers/climbersetc so obviously a quality bit of kit
I have a 450 and a 3 and loved them both (ok so the scouts are coming to pick them up this week. I think the 450 is a bit wobblier than the 3 but it is taller, wider and longer. I have always used them with homemade footprints as the open areas are fairly large on both tents and I have a thing about grass between my toes first thing in the morning, loads of space for stuff inside for living and cooking when it's raining. The 450 is very easy to put up, I can manage it on my own which was one of the reasons for buying it in the first place.
I am interested in the 450 mainly because it seems i could use each end of the tent as bedrooms, is this the case? and if so is it possible with the 350. I can't find any on display. I am single with 2 girls at an age where they need some privacy and this tent seems ideal. I also want to use it on solo trips in the colder months so being able to pitch alone would be perfect.

We have both equinox 350 / 450 and the equinox 6. They are all super duper tents that stand up to just about anything you can throw at them. We spent a lot of time checking them out before we bought them against other makes and tents. It was a wise choice looking back, we've had them quite a few years now. The TBS system is bril and works well too. We also now own a Outwell vermont L after looking at loads of others tents and makes that too is a cracker! I know just a few of the 2007 models had seam leaking problems but the 2008 models are spot on now.(not all of the 2007 models leaked) Outwell are now back on form. I would recomend any of the above tents.

Yes, the 450 has a large sleeping pod, suitable for the girls I would think, the king size duvet fitted perfectly over the mats, and a smaller one that fits at the other end, yours I would think.

Hi we have the 600 version of this (called the Quest, no longer made). Build quality is superb with alloy poles a hig tensile ripstop fabric. These materials give a much greater strength to weight ratio than cheaper tents of similat size.
And yes the bedrooms are complete with groundsheet, so they are complete little pods with zipper doors.
