Hi all im looking for opinions on a weekend tent for 2 adults 1 child so min 3 man or 4 man.

Idealy something small so as quick put up time and little hassle, nice to have sewn in groundsheet or something closed in as would be used almost year round so need to keep heat in as much as pos. Looked at a Vango Yukon as a friend has one very nice but may be a bit too big, no real need to stand in it.

Ive searched and seen loads of different ones but seeking the general publics views!

I've slept in what has been classed as a 3 man tent and there was barely room for two of us and nowhere to put clothes. Plus, not being able to stand up was an issue with me cos I struggled to get dressed/undressed lying down.  Would suggest you definitely look at minimum of 4 person tents.  There are plenty out there that are easy and quick to put up.

Got to say not overly fussed about groundsheets but just want something more draft free!

Sewn in are ok to clean as you can put a footprint sheet down first to help that problem. Got to be honest ive search through the reviews and cant decide on much! Need to go to a decent place and sample a few me thinks!

You might want to go old style and get one of the smaller frame tents. The one in my profile is a 4 berth canvas tent. 2 bedrooms, cooking area, and a little bit of living space.

Really lightweight frame and small pack size when canvas is in the bag.

Only thing is there is no sig, and the storm flaps are on the outside. Might be worth getting a 2nd hand bargain online to see if it fits well.

We have it for short weekend breaks and its great for 4 of us.

You could look at the Sunncamp Evo 400...it's smaller that the Yukon all round and lighter also. Very easy to pitch.The footprint is smaller also due to the pointed shape. It has full Sig but only 3000mm HH compared to 5000 on the Vango.

When you say all round use...you may encounter some serious weather, rain wind etc. Sigs are hard to find on 4/5 season tents. You could do worse than look at Canvas Tents, like the Cabanon Pyramides...or Guadaloupe. Or even a 4m bell tent. Easiest tent ever to put up, solid as the proverbial and come either with sewn in or seperate groundsheet. The seperate groundsheet is cracking in the hot sun as you can tie up the base walls for ventilation. Obelink have the best price on Bell tents and the quality has been proven.

Remember though...canvas tents need to be pegged out and dried before storing...which may be tricky on return from a wet winter break.
