The Outwell Arizona L could be the one. Our bestest chums have one for weekends, and Johnny is 6'2". It does not have much living space though, would that be a problem?
Stepson has a Sunncamp Evolution 600 not too big a tent easy to put up,plenty of room in bedroom or rooms if divided. He is 6ft 2 in so not a problem heightwise Lovely tent.
You have all been very helpful. I love looking at tents - I could spend many happy hours just going in and out of them!
You have shown me some manufacturers I have never heard of and they do look promising. Have done the "lets take everything we own" type of camping and we are looking to go much more lightweight but will put up a gazebo as well as a small tent for our two daughters who have slept on their own in the tent since they were about 7.

There are some very simple and easy to pitch tepee tents from Vango in 2009 including polycotton in 3 sizes. All have single central pole, good headroom, groundsheet.....a no frills but practical tent making excellent use of space...ideal for overnight stops and short stays.
There are already some excellent lightweight backpacking type tepee designs from Golite and some others....not cheap but top quality intended for serious use.....sometimes appear on eBay.
Outwell Andaman Sea L is another possibility of smallish tent, ideal for 1 or 2 but with good headroom
Gazebos are really only designed for supervised use in sheltered garden conditions and can be quite hazardous if they take off on a campsite. You might want to look instead at one of the camping-specific day rooms which various manufacturers supply to provide an extra bit of living/cooking space. MT

The Wynnster Curlew 6 should fit the bill. If you don't use the small bedroom you won't need to have a seperate gazebo as the living space is quite generous. The larger bedroom is very long so should be no probs for tall folk. I can pitch this tent sinfle handed too.
