I am looking to upgrade from my vango oregon 600 to the kura 800, does anyone have one of these or does anyone know anything about them. Would you think we would struggle to find a site to accommodate this tent?
If you could give me any info on the kura it would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Claire

I've never camped in a Kura, in fact I don't think I've ever seen one pitched, but I never fancied it; it strikes me that, given that both doors are part of the sloping walls, you'd just have to also buy some sort of canopy in case of rain.
we had the kura 600 it is a nice tent but as already said it has a sloping door which is not good if it rains . we are going for the wynnster carina 8 , its got everything we need and easy to put up.
I have this tent only used it once and had no trouble getting onto a site, admittedly out of season, Another couple of points to consider though is the bag it comes in is massive transporting and storage could potentially become a problem. Another thing is the rear bedroom is not big enough for a double air bed but the living space can take one easilly if it is a problem so i used it for storage as there was only three people staying in it at the time, also with the tent being so big it can be quite flappy in the wind more so the tunnel area it does not seem to have enough poles to reinforce it but could of been down to me not putting it up correctly. Even for its downsides i still love the tent and am glad i purchased it.
sorry for the long post

Thanks for all your points, we do have a canopy which we used on our old tent and will fit this one too, I think a trip to the camping shop on saturday is in order to pick up our new kura.
