We have seen one of these priced £115. Does anyone think it is worth getting at that price? Also what are you opinions about zipped groungsheets rather than sewn in?

I've seen them - I'm thinking at that price and with the decent reviews it maybe a good deal!

At the end of the day, if it gets you started.... and for that price its a good deal, leaves money to spend on everything else you prob don't need but will end up wanting!! . We got a good deal last year for our tent and were fairly basic to start with but as we have went on we have been able to spend more on accessorising which as any woman knows makes an outfit!!  We wouldn't have been in a position to do this if we had spent £2-300 on a tent!!

Be warned its addicitive just bought a carpet for mine and a kitchen tent, next thing roof box and hopefully electric coolbox and mini oven which of course I simply cannot do without!!

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Elaine

Thanks - can't see me ever wanting an oven - the one at home only ever gets used by OH!!! It seems there aren't any extras to this one but like you say at that price we can adapt and overcome!! Our 3 year old is desperate for us to get an Outwell so he can have a kids room which I think may fit into the darwin with a little creativity.

Elaine, you should check/post on freecycle or look at gumtree. This will be my first year as a family camper and ive pick up lots of used once or twice equipment that has so far saved me around 200 pounds!! Im hopful as the weather brightens i may get more, am already looking at cooking possibilities, is it worth while having electric cooking facilities etc?

You may have seen this before but if you are after the Outwell kids rooms, there are a couple still available here for £9.95.If you're trying to fit it into a different or larger space it may not matter so much which type you go for.http://www.yeomansoutdoors.co.uk/search.asp?SearchBox12=KRSale&templateID=124

There is no such thing as bad weather. Only the wrong tent.
