Wow! You are my inspiration! my 3 are aged 5, 4 and 18mths and my husband is not interested (been trying to tempt him with comfortable bed!). I am desperate to get camping again!  Do you recommend any good campsites for a temporarily single Mum with a tribe?!  Although we live in London so I'd imagine you may camp a bit further away than we would be planning on travelling!

you've just got to get on with it i suppose, and lets face it that first glass of wine wouldn't taste half as good if it was easy.

I just love taking the kids camping, and they love the freedom they get.  I try and find a site with a good play area, nothing with amusements or clubs, its not what its about for me.

Seems like the men of this world or mine and by the sounds of it Popsicle's are just not cut out for the great outdoors.  My hubby has tried it a few times and has made it clear already, that there is no camping for him this year. (his loss)

The campsite finder on here is great, and so far the sites we have used have been great, so you should find one to suit you Popsicle, why don't you try to get a friend along, my sister occasionally joins us and she loves it.

Thanks to everyone for your support, I can't wait to try my new tent out, and the plus point is i won't have a man telling me where i have gone wrong!!

As kids one of the highlight of mine and my brother and sisters holiday, was helping (thats said loosly) my mum and dad, (dad who had been on nights then drove us for 4 hours) putting the awning up on the caravan, and being the evil children we where and encouraged by a impish mum, we always had to make sure that the poles collapsed at least once on my dad (sometimes we had to do it twice to get the required reaction) sending him into a complete fit, now thinking about it makes me giggle.  Now as a grown up! i have realised that my dad was absolutely shattered but still went through with the whole charade for our benefit.  Oh happy days!
