Looking for some advice - after my Kyham Rigidome XL was shot to pieces by toy crossbows at the Royal Welsh Show last year (don't know whats worse the kids for having their 'bit of fun' or the vendors in the show ground!) I am looking to buy a new tent for this season.

I am torn between the Sprayway Valley 6 and the Outwell Utah 6 and would welcome the views of anyone with experience of these tents.

There were MASSIVE quality control issues with the Sprayways last season. See the review section on this site ("Tent Reviews" button at top of screen).

I bought the sprayway valley 6 last year and it was a load of rubbish!!! Looks fab but leaked like a seive and i don't mean little drips either! It was pouring in through the windows! If they have sorted the issues for this year then you might be lucky but after my disaster with the tent and a sprayway waterproof (NOT) coat, i wouldn't touch them with a barge pole lol.

I had the Sprayway on my shopping list last year until I saw reviews.

Basically a good design let down by detail flaws, shoddy construction and poor materials (esp. groundsheet).

So if it's a choice between a Sprayway or anything else at all, I wouldn't choose the Sprayway.

Thanks for all the responses - after reading the reviews on this site and having had a good old look around the interweb we have decided to go with an Outwell Vermont M so we have a living area with separate porch for muddy boots (and muddy dogs!).

Interestingly, we also had the Sprayway valley 6 which we returned for a Vermont M.

Used the Vermont 3 times last year and we are really happy with it. It withstood a severe storm with no probs - seems a really solid tent.
