As our family is growing, we want a pup tent for my 13 yr old, who has said she is more than happy to strike out on her own (rather than share with brother!)
We are looking for something under £100 that will be long enough as she grows - me and dh are over 6ft - and hold all her kit, plus be sturdy should the british weather be a bit rainy (surely not!) Easy to pitch would be good too, so we could pitch that first then put all kids in it if it's raining!
Thanks in advance for any advice

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
we bought an outwell jersey pop up last year for the kids to sleep in when wild camping. Cost about £60 and we have just bought a quechua tarp for £20 to rig up over the tent door as a canopy for rain/sun shade. It goes up so quick that it is invaluable for putting up in the rain, especially since if the kids are going to pile in straightaway as we just throw it in the air, throw the kids in it then not even have to peg it down till later when we have more time or the rain has stopped. Our reasoning was that if we have a big family tent to put up we don't want a complicated pup tent to put up as well. the kids play in it, sleep in it but can then use the big tent if tey need more space. I hope that in the future when the kids are older I will be able to convince them to keep camping with the family by letting them choose and furnish their own pup tents.

If you're looking for a tent which will last her a few years, including going to festivals or camping with a friend later on, then have a look at the Vango Omega 250. It's got a decent living area complete with riser groundsheet, 2 doors (so sheltered entry whichever way the wind is blowing), and alloy poles which are usually stronger than fibreglass.
I haven't got an Omega myself, but when I saw one on display I was quite impressed with the build quality for the price.
