Hi there,

As our family is growing, we want a pup tent for my 13 yr old, who has said she is more than happy to strike out on her own (rather than share with brother!)

We are looking for something under £100 that will be long enough as she grows - me and dh are over 6ft - and hold all her kit, plus be sturdy should the british weather be a bit rainy (surely not!) Easy to pitch would be good too, so we could pitch that first then put all kids in it if it's raining!

My son has a Vango Gamma 250 ; he's almost 18 and has used this tent for about 3 years now .

He puts it up while me and his sister put up our Gamma 350 . In fact he'll be taking it to Download festival this year .

Lightweight and fairly cheap , and never leaked at all . Been a cracking little tent really

If you're looking for a tent which will last her a few years, including going to festivals or camping with a friend later on, then have a look at the Vango Omega 250. It's got a decent living area complete with riser groundsheet, 2 doors (so sheltered entry whichever way the wind is blowing), and alloy poles which are usually stronger than fibreglass.

I haven't got an Omega myself, but when I saw one on display I was quite impressed with the build quality for the price.
