I've been looking for a carpet for our Royal Biarritz 6 ready for this year and I'm having a bit of trouble finding one.

Has anyone else managed to get one or do you know of another that will fit ok?

I'd also like to get a footprint after spending lots of time cleaning off all the mud last year!

Hi we’ve just bought a royal bairritz 6 carpet.  We were going to buy online from A1caravanning but they increased the price from £55.99 when we looked at it on the Wednesday night to £78.99 when we went to order it on the Friday night!! In the end I just rang round a couple of camping shops and it was available from tony wild camping £50 + £10p+p, Great Outdoors £59 and tents and camping.co.uk £50 + £10p+p.  We bought the footprint online from World of Camping £17.59 + £4.99p+p.

Hope this helps.

Hi sounds daft but we bought an Outwell Hartford XL carpet for our Biarritz 6.  The tents are basically one and the same (Royal 'imitate' Outwell designs I think!!). The living areas are very similiar in shape and size so for the third of the price we thought we would risk it.

Haven't had chance to see if it fits yet (going two weeks today..YES!!) but for the third of the price even if we have to fold a little under we thought it was worth the risk.

It cost £20 from Allweathers for the 2007 model which I think is nicer than the current one as it is blue and green check which goes lovely with the green Biarritz. I've just checked and they still have them in.

Nooo,

Allweathers are out of the carpets and footprints of the older (and cheape!) style.

Rob, would you be interested in selling your carpet and footprint separately?

Hi yes it fit really well.  However the bedroom pods are at a slightly different angle in the Biarritz and if I remember rightly we had a few inches going up the SIG but it was as near as damnit.

Sorry if I sound vague but we have bought a new tent since then but still using the same carpet but it definately doesn't fit. Have some strategically placed furniture to cover the groundsheet!!

Hi
I have the Royal, it's our old faithful and I wondered if this carpet fit since they no longer do it for our tent but might be able to get hold of the Xl
