Hi, hope someone can help me. I am going camping this summer with husband, 2 teenage boys and a lively dog. I need to buy a tent and not sure what one to buy. What I need is a tent that you can stand up in, husband and eldest son are both 6'. Need a sig, because the dog is an escapologist!! one bedroom is enough because the boys are taking their own tent to sleep in, but would like a tent with a decent size living area in case it rains. Has to be idiot proof to put up...and we have a budget of about £100 realise this is not a lot but would rather not pay a lot in case we don't like camping...Hope someone can help and thanks for any advice.

It will be quite difficult to find a good tent with sig for £100. the only one I've seen recently in this price range is the khyam yale its £99 here . Now discontinued , hence the bargain price.
Good quality brand , good reputation and quite easy to put up . It pitches inner first , then the flysheet goes on over the top , so the whole tent is double skinned. It doesn't have seperate bedrooms, but curtains inside to close off a bedroom section or two or leave it all open as one big room
The oregon in surfspuds post doesn't have a sig .

Thanks for such prompt replies, really like the oregon shame about the sig. The Khyam Yale looks really good too....seems just what we are looking for. Thanks again
Hi Not sure which tent to recommend but I do advise sig. Our first didn't have and we soon (before second trip) got one with sig. Our smaller one is very fast and deaf so we need to be able to control her. With our sig , they do not need to be tethered which is comfy for them and less concern for us. They are tethered when outside
The dog bit would be a worry for me with the SIG. Is it likely to scrat at the wall bottoms trying to find a way under/out? If so, the SIG will get slashed and therefore the tent, will be ruined straight away.
Our dog wouldn't try to scrat at the walls to get out, she is very good at escaping if there is a small gap etc. but that would be all, we will be tethering her outside but at least with a Sig she wouldn't be able to do a runner!! Thanks for all advice.
Neithre of mine scratch too lazy but little one an opportunist, in our first tent she kept sticking her nose out until gap was big enough and whoosh she was off
