I am thinking of adding to my tent collection. Ii need a very quick pitch tent for one night camping(I alredy have a Vaude badawi and a diablo 900) Tent must be fairly light and fit into a classic mini cooper.

Has anyone got one of these?

Says that you can pitch it in 2 mins.

Hi

The tent packs into a sack about the size of a sports holdall bag.

It is so quick to pitch, we pegged the shape of the groundsheet out then walked inside with the pole. So i think you can work out how quick that was.

We have had some very bad gales here in hertfordshire and the tent has stood up very well.

Re the size, it should fit 4 campers without any kit, i think the 500 would be ideal for a couple.

I hope this helps

Gary

Any idea on how waterproof I could expect one to be? I'm struggling to find info on the HH but didn't know if polycottons were different

I know I'm probably being dim.

Thanks in advance
H

Hi

Yes, polycottons dont really have the same sort of HH. All i can say is the show model we have pitched is as dry as a bone and has had some heavy rain on it a couple of weeks ago for a few days. The groundsheet is really strong also.

Hi Heifer,

Just looked at these today in Attwoolls(on offer) the waterproof specs are HH 1500 for the polycotton Peace and HH 2000 for the polyester Juno.I noticed a lot of family tents with similar specs HH 2000.

My only concern is they are described as "festival tents ".How will they take wind and rain?

Might be wrong here Gary - but I'm pretty sure that Nomad claim a  5000mm  ( yes 5000 )  HH on their top end pollycottons -   thats as good as I.v seen anywhere.

They are not cheap - but clearly they can match anything Nylon.

Hi,

We grabbed one of these funky Tepees last week and used it last w/e....

Took me approx 5mins to erect, really impressed with the quality, great feel to it with a reall tough SIG and the room in them is great. The weather was atrocious, non stop rain which chucked down and not a drop got through, also felt very sturdy.

The polycotton took no time at all to dry....

Verdict-love it and the people camping with us all said how much they wanted one, cant wait to go out in it again!

Couple of pics for you.....

Tepee time....

Taken at night,not great picture...sorry

Last time we camped...saw a "proper" teepee - duno what is was - canvas - and had smoke emmerging from an aluminium chimney at the peak !!!   ( Clearly a stove or heater in there ! )   I thought that looks dangerous !!  Mind you they had pitched against to pond !!!!  ( wise move )

Oh the whole - not sure about them - but I have seen pics of the Outwell one and it looks fab !   !!  just dont know where you would put the cooker !!

Hi all

I'm interested in the Vango Peace tepees too. Does anyone know where I can see them on display. I live in Kent but am prepared to travel a bit if it means I can actually get inside one!

Julie
