Just pitched my new Vango Icarus 500 and thought i'd post some info about the features of the tent which aren't obvious due to lack of reviews/info:-
1. Side door has a mesh screen
2. Bedrooom has a divider which is fastened into place with a couple of toggles.
3. There is an EHU zipped entry point.
4. There are a number of mesh pockets throughout the tent for storage.
5. The front canopy poles are not included.
Overall this seems a great tent for the money I paid (£119.95 from Yeomans on a price match). It is larger than I expected and the kids wanted to sleep in it tonight but it's still a bit cold in these parts.
Can't wait to use it in anger.

I've been looking at this one for when I go solo when the she-devil won't come along. It's got a SIG and a simple 3 pole tunnel arrangement, standing room and looks to be excellent value for the cash.
Great to hear your review on this tent can't wait to get mine up I got it for weekends as we have the Sunncamp vario 600 plus for our main 3 week holiday ...should'nt take long to put up as its the same kind of pitching for both tunnel tents, I got the closed in porch with the vango and have spare poles for canopy from an old tent I will be going for weekends alone with our two dogs and hope I can put it up alone of course I can I may be an old foggey but have faith I think lol.
slide the first pole through the pole sleeve at the front of the tent and place pin in the bottom of the pole on one side. Push pole and lift into postion and place second pin into the bottom of the pole, if its windy guy the front pole out.
Shut door and repeat with middle pole then rear pole.
Finish all other pegging/
10 mins max, one person.

I'm interested to hear your version of how to pitch, gary, because although I pitched it by putting poles through first as per instructions I wondered if it was possible to do it the way you've described and will do that next time.
