Hi to all, this is my first posting,

Does anyone own a Phoenix 6 tent?  I'm having a few problems as I've just recently bought this tent only to discover one of the poles is missing. I've taken it back to my local shop but they're having problems getting hold of the pole from Wynnster as it's a discontinued model. The shop seem to be a bit clueless as to solving the problem and I really don't ant to have to exchange it as we got a good bargain plus with the living space,Hydrostatic Head etc it's ideal.

The poles we do have are red and blue (for the sleeping compartment) 2 black and 1 white.  I've been told the missing one is yellow but does anyone know where this is used on the tent? Is it for the canopy/porch or for the main dome? If it's for the canopy could we use the tent without it until we're sorted? (from the pics I'd say it could just be guy-roped as it soesn't seem to be integral to the main frame).  Also if we can't get a replacement, would it be possible to build a new pole?

Sorry if this rather long-winded but we're booked into a site next week and still want to go with this tent.

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mike, if you drag the tent out of it's bag, the pole sleeves are colour co-ordinated with the pole ends, so you should be able to see which pole is missing. I hope it is the canopy pole, because you could maybe roll it back as a temporary measure.
