Hi Guys, I've posted this message elsewhere on the forum but have accidentaly posted on the wrong section of the forum...apologies

Does anybody know of some really good camping shops in London? I've been asking advice on various tents on the forum and the response has been good.

I'm heading down to London for the rest of the week and with our dearth of camping shops in Scotland thought I'd go and see a load of tents pitched. Was specifically looking for Coleman tent (Cedar Creek/Sector X5/ Evolva) so if anyone knows of somewhere that specialises or at least has a good range of colemans on display that would be great.

I want to get a feel for the sizes of the various tents I'm interested in as I've never seen any of them in the flesh.

Any advice or help would be much appreciated...

This place is in Shepperton Middlesex, not exactly London but I doubt there are many open air tent displays in central London. If you have a car Shepperton isnt all that far though. There is another good on at Frensham in Surrey

Unfortunately I'm going to be carless so restricted to London for the duration. Was assuming there'd be some big warehouse type indoor camping shops with a load of stuff pitched inside.

Checked Google Maps and it's only 17 odd miles from the centre of town so I might pick up a city car club car and have a go.

If you go to the Blacks website www.blacks.co.uk and click on 'find a store' and put in London quite a few come up, Victoria, Holborn, Oxford Street,Fenchurch, Kensington, etc etc Just try googling London tent shops.

I don't think any of the Blacks stores would have any large tent displays though, as said above, you would have to go to the outskirts somewhere.
